First Imressions Team
During both the 9:30am and 11:00am services we are in need of greeters at each door, in the hallways, and in the sanctuary, as well as volunteers to help pass the communion elements, and collect the tithes, offerings, and communication cards. This is part of the Openwater Church "First Impressions" ministry and you will get to know alot of people. If you would like more information about getting involved please contact [email protected].com
Every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month from 6-7 pm we open our doors for those who need a “hand up” rather than a “hand out”. Those who need help can come a receive meat as well as canned and boxed goods. At the same time those who come can receive Biblical counseling and financial counseling from our Food Pantry team. If you are interested in becoming a food pantry volunteer please email [email protected]
The Children's ministry includes babies in the nursery all the way through 5th Grade! There are opportunities to serve by helping provide child care during our evening adult ministries (Celebrate Recovery and Marriage in Motion), as well as being a Sunday Morning teacher, or by serving on Thursday nights during our mid-week meeting for 3 year olds-5th graders called, Echo! Contact [email protected] if you would like more information!
There are many exciting areas to help serve in the Student Ministry! There are opportunities to serve as a table leader at Momentum, our youth group that meets weekly from 5-7:30pm on Sunday nights. There are also opportunities to be a small group leader on Sunday Mornings at the Student Gathering, as well as chaperones for various events.
